Services

The Living Well Integrative Health Center provides easier access to care from a compassionate, committed, diverse team of health care professionals. We believe that collaboration and communication between health care providers enables better care. With a focus on wellness, disease prevention and holistic disease management, we are pleased to provide the following services:

  • Patient-centered Family Practice Primary Care 
  • Obstetrical Care to 28wks and shared OB care
  • Home Visits for geriatric and disabled patients within HRM
  • Individual and Group Courses on Mindfulness and Stress Reduction
  • Registered Massage Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Structural Integration
  • GP psychotherapy
  • ​Counselling and psychotherapy
  • Music Therapy
  • Nutritional Counselling
  • Learning opportunities: medical students, medical residents and NP students 2-3 x per year are involved in care with permission of the patients and clients. Dr. Patriquin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Dalhousie University.
  • Mentoring: Dr. Patriquin offers mentoring opportunities to girls who are interested in health sciences and psychology. Preference is given to those who might otherwise lack access and other opportunities to be exposed. The program qualifies for the high-school Co-op course credit but must be approved by the program director first.
  • Research: Dr. Patriquin regularly participates in family practice research. She currently is participating in the Transformation study and also the Fountain of Health pilot project. She regularly conducts quality assurance projects and has multiple opportunities available for RIM projects for medical students.
