Unique Yoga Opportunity

March 9, 2016

Robin Stamm is hosting a unique yoga workshop to be given by Diane Long April 29-May 1 and May 6-8, 2016 in Halifax. "This approach to yoga demands a beginner’s mind, a childlike listening, an ability to trust in the wonder of being present with the body and breath. It is simple, as Vanda always said. We seem to forget how to be simple."

Vanda Scaravelli developed an approach to yoga which is radically different from most forms of yoga taught today. Initially studying with Iyengar and Desikachar, she worked on her practice for forty years before acceping a small number of students.

Since the publication of her book, Awakening the Spine, this form of yoga has spread throughout the world and Vanda is now well-known.

Diane Long was the first of Vanda's devoted students, working intimately with Vanda until her death in 1999. Diane is now based in Rome and travels the globe, sharing this way of working.
