National tour of sorts: Living Well Living Hell Triumphs and Tribulations of Collaborative Care

I have been fortunate now to have presented this talk at the Family Medicine Forum Toronto 2018. On Valentines day 2019 I presented the same talk for the  Department of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University. The talk will be given at Dalhousie once again to faculty and the reading club in April of this year and once again in Richmond BC at the 2019 Collaborative Mental Health Conference. What is most compelling to me is that people want an honest account of what transformation to collaborative care looks like, what success and what failures systems, providers and patients are likely to meet. I use the talk as an opportunity to provide a lived work experience so others may also benefit from the vicarious learning; adopting some practices and avoiding some of the common pitfalls. It is an important presentation in so much as it highlights the evidence behind what supports a strong collaborative practice and I have lived and worked it for 7 years now. I am grateful for the reception and look forward to the ongoing tour. Please reach out if you would like support in your process. Sharing is caring and indeed, that's what it is all about.
